The Krait Foundation 2023

After a long wait, The Krait Foundation (TKF) cohort 2 has finally concluded its program. Held at the impressive Commbank Axle building in Eveleigh, Sydney, and powered by a partnership with Commonwealth Bank, this year’s program took a significant leap.

The journey for our SOCOMD veterans commenced with self-discovery exercises. Through a Gallup strengths workshop, they delved into their top 5 strengths, laying the groundwork based on their natural abilities. We also addressed ‘imposter syndrome’ and feelings of worthiness, reframing military service to help articulate their valuable skills in civilian settings or entrepreneurial endeavours.

A pivotal mid-week networking event allowed our cohort to showcase their potential to corporate representatives, gaining valuable insights into the civilian work landscape. Experts from Commbank shared perspectives on entrepreneurship, crafting resumes, and understanding employer expectations, complemented by an inspiring workshop from a Wandering Warriors MBA scholarship alum, Chris Warren, showcasing the possibilities for Special Forces veterans with education.

The program culminated in presentations envisioning where cohort 2 members might find themselves in the next 6-12 months. This provided profound clarity, especially for those beginning their journey post-military life. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved in making this program a success, with special appreciation to Commonwealth Bank for their outstanding support in orchestrating this impactful initiative.
