In January 2020, our long serving Chairman, Brigadier (Retd) Terry Nolan AM elected to retire from the role of Wandering Warriors chair. We acknowledge and respect all of the work Brigadier Nolan devoted to Wandering Warriors as chairman, taking the organisation to where it is today: a highly respected NFP devoted to the wellness of our veteran community. We are grateful that Brigadier Nolan will stay on the board as a director. We give thanks also to retired director Dr John Taske, who stepped down from the board in January, having given three years of guidance and valuable service to Wandering Warriors. We wish him well for the future.

As a result of these moves, we are pleased to announce that the Wandering Warriors board meeting in early April elected a new chairman and welcomed two new directors to the board. Our incoming chairman, Brett Sangster, a former Army officer and now partner at McCullough Roberston Lawyers, has served as a WW director for the past two years and is a former WW ambassador. We welcome to the board distinguished Special Operations officer and former CO of the Australian SAS Regiment, Brigadier Johnathon ‘Jono’ Beesley. We welcome Ms Leann Webb, MD at Aurora Marketing, innovator, thought leader, public speaker and successful entrepreneur. We anticipate a long and productive working relationship with our new-look board and welcome the contribution of the new directors.

The board offered thanks to all the sponsors and supporters who have continued to back our veterans through challenging times. Together, we look forward to providing our veterans and their families a brighter future.
