Quentin Masson DSM
A previous director, has returned to a board role. Quentin has also been appointed our CEO at an exciting time in the evolution of WW, as we move to expand our support to all Australian Special Forces veterans and their families, particularly through our education program. Quentin takes up these voluntary positions alongside his busy day job as Toll Group’s Global Head of Government and Defence.
Another tireless volunteer and ambassador for WW, has been elected a director. Brett is currently the Managing Director of the Downer Group’s Defence division. He also sits as a committee member of the Australian Veteran’s Employment Coalition, which seeks to advance the federal government’s initiatives on veterans’ employment. When WW wants the job done, we give it to busy people!
Founder of accountants and business advisors Davis & Co, becomes a director and CFO. Brian holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Certified Practising Accountant. He has more than 45 years experience in finance, accounting, taxation and business consulting, in both the corporate sector and public practice. We are delighted to welcome him to our board.
We are indebted to all our volunteers, past and present. Their commitment and passion for Wandering Warriors continues to inspire and drive us forward.
Bob Brett MC
Bob Brett MC has retired as a director and CEO, in keeping with his views about the need for fresh ideas, transition and generational relevance. Bob is a dynamic and passionate advocate for veterans’ causes who has brought focus and direction to Wandering Warriors. We are delighted to announce that Bob will continue to serve in an ambassador role. Bob remains a member of the Queensland government’s defence advisory committee.
Retiring CFO Chris Staples has volunteered six years of his busy life to the betterment of Wandering Warriors. His years of experience in senior financial roles with multinational corporations, his professionalism and unstinting, positive input have helped shape the organisation we are today. Chris remains a partner with Davis & Co in Milton and a lifetime friend of Wandering Warriors.
Malcolm McBratney has stepped down from the board while continuing to offer pro bono legal support to WW. It’s largely due to Malcolm that we had a painless transition from incorporated association to public company and that the sundry legal matters we’ve faced have been dealt with promptly and effectively. We wish Malcolm the best as he pursues his career as a commercial principal with Macpherson Kelley.
